Set it once
A recurring action is a template for a habit, called a Recurring Action in the app. Choose how often it repeats:
- Daily
- Weekly, on the weekday it starts
- Monthly, on the day of the month it starts, or the last day of a shorter month
- Yearly, on the date it starts
Then set a start date and, if you want one, an end date.
A real action, every time
On each due day B3 creates an ordinary action. It carries over the template’s due time, reminders, assignee, approver, subtasks and goal link. You tick it off, comment on it or send it for approval exactly like any other action. The card shows a Recurring badge so you know where it came from.
Life happens
- Pause a routine while you’re travelling or unwell, and resume when you’re back. It picks up from today and doesn’t pile up the days you missed.
- Change it at any time. Edits apply to future occurrences, and you can also apply them to the ones still open.
- Finish it: past its end date, or once archived, a routine stops.
Keep people in the loop
Share a routine with a supporter and they can see every action it creates. If you remove someone from the list, they lose access to the whole series, past occurrences included.
Plan
Recurring actions are a B3 Pro feature, and Pro routines are unlimited. Paused routines don’t count toward anything.
Questions about Recurring actions
Which repeat patterns are supported?
Daily, weekly (on the start date's weekday), monthly (on the start date's day of the month) and yearly. You can set a start date and an optional end date. If a monthly routine starts on the 31st, it falls on the last day of shorter months.
What happens to missed days if I pause a routine?
Nothing piles up. When you resume, the routine carries on from today and doesn't create the days you skipped.
