# Notifications and reminders: A nudge at the right moment

## Reminders that know your day

- **Due reminders.** Get reminded before an [action](https://believebehavebecome.io/features/actions/) or [goal](https://believebehavebecome.io/features/goals/) is due. For actions it can be anything from 1 minute to 7 days ahead, with presets like 15 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day. They cancel themselves once the work is done.
- **The daily check-in.** Once a day, at **the hour you choose**, B3 lists the goals still waiting for this period's check-in. It comes by push and by email, and it stops as soon as you log your progress.

All times follow your own time zone.

## When your people need you

B3 lets you know when:

- a goal or action is **assigned** or **shared** with you
- someone asks for your **approval**, or decides on yours (with their note)
- someone **invites** you to connect (you can accept or decline straight from the notification), or accepts your invitation
- someone **likes** your goal
- a routine, budget category or repeating transaction is **shared** with you

You're never notified about your own actions.

## In your control

Choose push and email separately, including reminder emails, reminder push and security emails, and set your reminder hour. The in-app feed keeps everything with an unread badge and *Mark all read*. On Android, a built-in **notification health check** walks through permissions, battery settings and device registration, then sends you a test notification.

## Questions

### When does the daily check-in reminder arrive?

At the hour you choose in Notifications, 6 pm unless you change it, in your own time zone. It only lists goals that still need a check-in this period, and it comes by push and email.

### Can I turn notifications off?

Yes. There are separate switches for push, email, reminder push, reminder emails and security emails.
